Every security role or company role contains a set of permissions that describe what a person is allowed to do.
If there's a discrepancy between your company and security role, Proliance uses the more "permissive" permissions from both roles. For example, if the company role does not permit you to update contracts, while the security role permits you to, then you will be able to update contracts.
Note: If a security role has no permissions defined for it, then Proliance uses the permissions contained in the company role of the company that employs the user. If neither the security role nor the company role contains permissions, then a user is not able to do anything in Proliance.
Security permissions are assigned in the Permissions section of a role. They are based on the document type.
For information about the permission settings, see "Assigning Permissions to a Role".
+ACR is not an actual document type. This setting controls whether a user can view and print the Anticipated Cost Report.
Note: If BCM integration has been disabled in the workspace, then the ACR will not display, regardless of its permission setting here. For more information, see "Enabling/Disabling BCM Integration".
#Companies and Contacts: Without permission to read companies and contacts, users are very restricted in Proliance. For users to perform even basic actions, such as forwarding documents or selecting recipients for collaboration, their security role must have read permission to companies and contacts.
*Security Permissions is not an actual document type. Rather, it represents settings that affect all the security-related registers: Roles, Categories, and Company Roles. For more information, see "Restricting Access to Security".
